The breast is not only a symbol of femininity, motherhood, and fertility but also holds a particularly high value as an external marker of sexuality and female attractiveness. In social, emotional, and sexual aspects, breasts that are too small or not adequately filled can often be a burden for those affected.
In breast augmentation (or mammoplasty), the female breast is enlarged and its shape improved through the insertion of implants. This beautiful external feature can positively enhance the feminine allure and bring the body proportions into balance, positively influencing and harmonizing them.

Indication

The desire for more bust size can be easily realized.

Women who are dissatisfied with their bust size and feel that their female body is not attractive enough or does not fit their body proportions have the opportunity to achieve harmony by undergoing breast augmentation.
Smaller, underdeveloped breasts or breast asymmetries are often genetically determined and can be corrected relatively quickly and easily. After pregnancy and breastfeeding, the breasts may become slightly saggy (so-called post-lactation hypoplasia). This can be corrected either through a Breast lift with augmentation or through a simple breast augmentation with implants.

Implants

Before the surgery, the selection of the right implants is crucial. You will be individually advised on the various available implants. Typically, silicone implants are used. Additionally, you can choose between different sizes and anatomical shapes of the implants to precisely meet your personal needs.

With round implants, there are, for example, moderate (RSD), high (RSF), and extra high profile (RSC) options. Currently, we are using Motiva implants. 

Surgery

Breast augmentation is one of the most commonly performed procedures in aesthetic surgery. Over the last few decades, many techniques have been developed focusing on the incision and placement of the implant, particularly with regard to achieving a natural appearance of the breast.
The surgery begins with a small incision, which provides access for the insertion of the implants. The implants can be inserted through the armpit (transaxillary), from the breast fold (inframammary), or through the nipple (transareolar).

The access through the armpit is the most elegant because no visible scars are left on the breast, and the sensitivity of the nipple is least affected. Afterwards, the breast tissue is gently lifted, and the selected implants are inserted into a carefully prepared pocket. The breast implants can be placed either over the muscle (subglandular) or under the muscle (submuscular), depending on the thickness of the skin envelope. Subsequently, the implant is precisely modeled into its position.

Special instruments

For the surgical approach through the armpit, a special set of instruments has been developed by Dr. Solz. Especially the Breast dissector by Dr. Solz and the Dissection scissors by Dr. Solz. This equipment is distributed worldwide by the company Medicon. With the help of these new instruments, a particularly gentle surgical technique is possible. Major advantages of these special instruments include significantly reduced bleeding during and after surgery, as well as faster healing times. Anesthesia

The procedure is relatively short and is usually performed under general anesthesia. Nowadays, anesthesia is very safe, and due to the short duration of the procedure, the patient recovers quickly. Typically, the patient stays for 2 hours of observation and can then be picked up.

Hospital stay

A hospital stay is generally not necessary. Anesthesia is so advanced and safe nowadays that our patients typically can go home after 2-3 hours.

After the procedure

No sports for 2 weeks. Quick recovery, usually able to return to work within 2-3 days.
4-6 weeks of wearing a special bra.
