Hyaluronic acid is a substance found in all living organisms. As a synthetic material, meaning of non-animal origin and thus free from allergens, pathogens, and impurities, hyaluronic acid is available to us from various manufacturers. An allergy test is not necessary for these injectable implants.

Treatment

The preparations can be administered without specific anesthesia. In some patients, a patch with local anesthetic or cooling with ice may be used. The substance is injected precisely into the corresponding regions using ultra-fine injection needles.

An allergy test is not required when using hyaluronic acid, as it does not contain foreign proteins.

Treatment areas

The face has a highly varied structure, and depending on muscle activity, the skin may experience varying levels of strain. Different preparations are available for each region and skin type. Your doctor will explain these differences to you in detail and work with you to find the optimal solution.

The following wrinkles can be treated with hyaluronic acid:

  • Forehead wrinkles, worry lines
  • Glabellar lines, frown lines, concentration lines
  • Laugh lines, crow's feet, eye wrinkles
  • Bunny lines (lines on the nose)
  • Nasolabial folds
  • Upper lip lines, smoker's lines
  • Marionette lines, downturned corners of the mouth
  • Mentolabial folds (folds between the chin and lower lip)
  • Chin wrinkles, dimpled chin, pebble chin
  • Neck wrinkles

Additional indications for treatment with hyaluronic acid preparations include:

  • Lip augmentation
  • Lip contouring
  • Enhancement of the Cupid's bow
  • Drooping eyebrows
  • Sunken temples (temporal area)
  • Sunken cheeks (cheek augmentation)
  • Under-eye circles
  • Nasal bridge - Non-surgical nose correction
  • Modeling and filling of earlobes
  • Correction of jowls
  • Straightening of the submandibular line (non-surgical lifting)
  • Chin augmentation

After the treatment

In the first 2 hours after the injection, makeup should not be applied to avoid contaminating the injection sites. Similar to treatments with other injectable implants, it is fundamentally a straightforward procedure. However, the experience of the treating physician is crucial for success. Together, the doctor and patient should create a treatment plan that takes into account individual wishes and expectations.

Results

Initially, the treated areas may still be slightly swollen, but after a few minutes, the results are clearly visible. Previously deepened wrinkles are smoothed out or largely eliminated. Contours of lips, cheeks, or other regions are restored or enhanced. Many patients opt for a refreshment approximately 6-12 months after the initial treatment. Repetitions are easily done and can be performed with any product combination as desired.

Prices

The costs depend on the desired region, the complexity of the treatment, and the amount of injections required, and are calculated per ampoule.
